Adobe Indesign

I have been learning how to use Adobe Indesign, which i can use for my magazines content page and double page spread, this is easy to insert text in rows and columns, you can plan the dimensions of the page before hand etc.

Today i was given a task to make a 'Grid Project' on the 'text layout conventions', i had to create a new document with the page size being 203mmX203mm, Columns X4, Gutter 7mm, Margins both 7mm, Intent=Print. I had to then go to layout and create guides and added a row mark Number of 4, Gutter=7.

The Text all had to be 8pts in size , in either these two typefaces: Verdana or Helium, i picked Verdana for mine.

After this their was homework to do a different design but this time i was allowed to change the type size and also colour, but i had to use the same grid.

I have updated my school Magazine cover because I thought the other one was not apealing enough and did not look very interesting. This project was just a little play around so i could get familar with using Adobe Photoshop for my main project.

This is the final cover page i have created in photoshop, i have started and nearly finished my contents page and this is what i have planned so far, i could later change the style and format of it below shows the basic structure and plan of my schools contents page:

Today we are starting to create a school magazine cover on photoshop, it will contain 1-3 images, masthead, smaller text/articles about the contents, date. (conventions).

on the title i made separte, circles so that i could add the text in each bubble, i contrasted the right use of colour, i made the large oval going over the whole title and i

In todays lesson we are just carrying on with creating a Photoshop image, about Media, with attaching key words that we know and that are in the glossary.

My Blog is about Media Studies AS subject and the blog is going to be based on this, which i will do from time to time and insert important things that will relate to my coursework, i have created this so that i can follow and track what I have been doing over the following year and so that the examiner can see my work. In my Blog I may sometimes include homeowrk and classwork, but it is mainly going to be for my main project which is my coursework.
